About Me

Auditor by training, analyst by inclination

I am an ACCA Member, currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Economics and working as an Audit Associate at Kuber N. Bhattarai & Co., a chartered accountancy firm in Kathmandu.

I learned the work in the field: statutory audits, control testing, risk assessments, and financial statements for clients in several industries. Earlier stops in internal audit, research, and accounting showed me how financial information gets made, and how it gets misread.

Outside assurance, my interests run toward valuation, corporate finance, investments, and economics. The core belief is simple: financial data is only useful once someone has questioned it properly.

  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
  • Prepared due diligence audit reports for pre-operational and early-stage companies, applying valuation methods including Adjusted Net Worth, Profit Capitalization, and Discounted Cash Flow (FCFE)

What I'm working toward

My long-term goal is to work in investment research, valuation, corporate finance, and financial modeling, and to keep adding technical depth every year.

Audit taught me how businesses work from the inside. Economics is teaching me what moves them from the outside. I want to put the two together, and do work that helps capital end up where it is most productive.
