I am a finance professional with experience in external audit, internal audit, financial reporting, compliance, and business analysis. Over time I want to move deeper into equity research, valuation, corporate finance, and financial modeling. I like problems where the numbers need to be questioned before they can be trusted.
I am an ACCA Member and Bachelor of Business Studies graduate, currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Economics and working as an Audit Associate at Kuber N. Bhattarai & Co., a chartered accountancy firm in Kathmandu.
I learned the work in the field: statutory audits, internal control testing, risk assessments, and financial statements for clients in several industries. Before that I did internal audit at a licensed microfinance institution, spent time in financial research, and started out in accounting. Between those roles I have seen how financial information gets made, and how it gets misread.
Outside assurance work, my interests run toward valuation, corporate finance, investments, economics, and business strategy. The conviction underneath all of it is simple: financial data is only useful once someone has questioned it properly.

My long-term goal is to work in investment research, valuation, corporate finance, and financial modeling, and to keep adding technical depth every year.
Audit taught me how businesses work from the inside. Economics is teaching me what moves them from the outside. I want to put the two together, and do work that helps capital end up where it is most productive.
